  • Degree BSC Accounting or Minimum ACCA Level 2
  • Minimum work experience of 5 years in relevant field

Senior Accounts Officer

Handle financial entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare financial reports. Assist with budgeting, support audits, and develop accounting policies. Communicate with clients on billing and collaborate with team members to ensure accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Maintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Reconcile accounts by researching and resolving discrepancies

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare financial statements and reports by gathering and summarizing account information
  • Maintain financial records by filing document

Budgeting and Auditing:

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets by gathering and analyzing financial information
    • Support audits by providing necessary information and assistance to auditors
    • Policy Development:
      • Develop and document accounting policies and procedures
      • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options

Client and Team Interaction:

  • Communicate with clients regarding billing and payments
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the accounting department to ensure accurate financial records

Requirements

  • Degree BSC Accounting or Minimum ACCA Level 2
  • Minimum work experience of 5 years in relevant field
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, etc).
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to meet deadlines on a consistent basis
